Please do NOT update your machine if you use Apple Hardware.
If you use an Apple Mac device, you may have seen that Apple has a new operating system called MacOS Big Sur (version 11). If you use Apple hardware for your salon business, this could affect your Phorest system and we are recommending that you do not update it as it isn’t fully compatible with Phorest.
Your hardware will prompt you to make the updates but it is very important that you do not do so.
The reason behind this is because unfortunately Apple’s update isn’t compatible with JX Browser which a lot of our system uses. We’re working with them as much as we can to speed up the process and will let you know once we have an update.
If you have already updated your Apple computer to Big Sur OSX, you can continue to use your system as normal and only need to contact us if you are noticing a change in service. Please contact Phorest support using the ‘Contact Support’ feature on your Phorest system. The team will do their best to troubleshoot any issues you may have.
