By constantly gathering feedback from clients, the Phorest Development Team has identified key operational challenges and developed effective solutions, tailored to the unique needs of medspas.
Enhancing the Patient Experience with Data-Driven Insights
According to Verna’s research, today’s medspa clients value convenience and transparency. In fact, 56% of clients prefer to fill out consultation forms on their personal devices, emphasising the demand for digital-first solutions.
Patients also rated the importance of viewing their personalised treatment plans before injectables at 8.4/10. Verna highlighted that in the medi-aesthetic sphere, there’s a need for clear, accessible information – and that Phorest is driven to offer this.
Premium Consultations – Simplifying Processes for Clinics
Building on feedback from last year’s workshop, Aoife said that Phorest has improved its consultation tools to make processes more organised and professional.
The highlight of these updates is the Treatment Plans feature, which now includes Course Tables for structured multi-session treatments, the ability to capture multiple signatures for comprehensive consent, and significant note-taking improvements.
These note-taking improvements include:
- Handwriting-to-Text Conversion – This allows clinics to effortlessly digitise handwritten notes with AI.
- Dot Phrasing – A new feature that enables clinics to save and reuse commonly used phrases, reducing repetitive typing and improving documentation speed.
Additionally, Pre & Post Care Instructions were introduced, providing medspas and aesthetic clinics with tools to deliver clear and consistent care information to clients, further enhancing the patient experience.
Live Product Demo of AI and Workflow Efficiencies
Aoife and Verna provided a live demonstration of the latest features, designed to simplify day-to-day operations in medspas and aesthetic clinics. The first of these features included data storage and accessibility, allowing clinics to view consent forms, treatment plans, photo galleries and markup tools all in one place.
They also introduced AI-powered note-taking, which converts handwritten notes into digital text. The product demo displayed how this would not only save time – but could also reduce manual data entry.
In addition to this, Verna and Aoife showcased a live product demonstration of Dot Phrasing, which launches this month. Dot Phrasing allows clinics to save frequently used phrases and automatically insert them into notes, accelerating documentation while maintaining accuracy. This is also completely customisable to each business, saving time on inserting frequently used phrases and terms.
Phorest also continues to strengthen its imaging and documentation tools with the AI Background Remover – which creates cleaner, more professional before-and-after photos, perfect for showcasing results. There’s also the Expanded Treatment Plan Notes feature, which allows for detailed documentation. This ensures comprehensive patient histories and improved care tracking.
What’s Next for Phorest’s Medspa Tools?
Verna and Aoife emphasised Phorest’s commitment to its medi-aesthetic clients, with several exciting features on the horizon. Among these is a Lead Management System to help clinics capture and track potential clients from the moment they call.
According to Verna’s research, 56% of potential clients need to speak with someone before booking an appointment – and 47% of them prefer to do so by phone. This insight emphasises the need for a balanced approach that integrates technology – without sacrificing human connection. However, this feature can also be used to find and convert leads. When a potential client calls your medspa or aesthetic clinic, they’re put down as a lead. Staff can follow up, eventually turning them into a loyal client.
Phorest has also made significant changes and developments to the Consultation Forms. Now, consultation forms include voice notes for faster documentation during treatments and pre and post-care note-taking. Plus, aesthetic clinics will also see the seamless integration of all patient data in one centralised Phorest system.
